Jason E. Green
Jason Green grew up in Lead, South Dakota and graduated from Lead High School in 1991. He attended the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, graduating in 1996 with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Science. Mr. Green studied law at the University of South Dakota School of Law in Vermillion, graduating in May of 2000. After his second year at USD, he spent the summer in Rapid City working as a legal intern at Quinn, Day & Barker. Mr. Green returned to the Black Hills area and in November of 2000, joined the Pennington County Public Defender's Office. Mr. Green began his employment with the City in June of 2001. In May of 2003 Mr. Green began serving as Acting City Attorney, and was appointed to the position of City Attorney by Mayor Jim Shaw in November of 2003.
