KEVIN S. LEWIS

Kevin Lewis was born at Ellsworth, A.F.B. and grew up in Rapid City. He attended and graduated from Rapid City Central High School in 1980. Upon graduation, he attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science in 1984. He attended the University of South Dakota School of Law, earning a Juris Doctor in 1988. Upon graduation, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona and was admitted to the Arizona Bar in October 1988. He practiced in several small firms until returning to South Dakota in 1996 to work with Dakota Plains Legal Services in Rosebud and Pine Ridge. In 2000, he joined the Pennington County Public Defender's Office where he practiced until June of 2004. He practiced in private practice and real estate until joining the City Attorney's Office in January 2006.
