Christine took part in the front lines from Audi Arabia and into Iraq, as far as the Euphrates River, and within fifty miles of Baghdad. She was exposed to chemical and neurological agents after the detonation at the Kamasiyah Ammo Dump. Christine received a knee injury while serving in Desert Storm.

Christine received four medals for her service in Southwest Asia: Southwest Asia Service Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait Liberation Medal Government of Kuwait, and National Defense Medal. She receives a 100% service connected disability from the Veteran Affairs.

Christine joined the Disabled American Veterans in 2001 and has been very active in helping all veterans and the DAV Club. She was appointed Adjutant and elected to the DAV Executive Board in 2001. Christine was elected as Junior Vice Commander in 2006 and again in 2007. She has promoted many programs to help fellow disabled veterans, such as the DAV Transportation Van Fund Auction, Forget-Me-Not Program to purchase comfort items for hospitalized veterans, getting advertising on local and regional radio, television and newspapers. She encourages Americanism for all veterans.
