Bicycle and Pedestrian Information

Bicycling is increasingly popular, both as a recreational activity and as an environmentally friendly alternative mode of transportation. There are approximately 16 miles of pathways and 8 miles of on-street bicycle routes within the city of Rapid City. Efforts to improve and expand this network are ongoing.

For more information about parks and the pathway system, check out Parks and Recreation under the Public Works Department.
