Public Works Director

The Public Works Department sustains and improves our quality of life in Rapid City and provides many basic services. The Department of Public Works helps to keep Rapid City moving each day with many areas of responsibility. We collect your garbage and recycling, clear your streets of ice and snow in the winter, provide public transportation, maintain the City's sewer system, provide quality drinking water, manage the City's traffic lights and street signage - and the list goes on.
